I will investigate & help solve drug use among young peoople. Nowadays a lot of people that i see are using drugs. Everybody know bad things can happen to drug user. They become addicted. They can have serious or even fatal health problems. They can ruin their personal, social & proffessional lives or even end up in jail. But the real question is why to young people start taking drugs in the first place? What are the causes of drug use among the young people?
Many teens have heard about drugs, and they are curious to experience them for themselves. They have heard that drugs

Possible Solutions To Investigate

There are many institutions and organizations that help drug abusers kick the habit. The support of friends and family is of prime importance. First and foremost, an abuser must be committed to giving up drugs. Doctors and counselors are a drug abusers greatest ally in the battle against addiction.People who realize they have to quit this dangerous habit may be too embarrassed or afraid to confide in anyone. They might even be worried that they will land into trouble if they admit to having this problem. Abusers must talk to anyone they trust.Drug abuse solutions can be viewed from many perspectives. On a national level, solutions are based and discussed in terms of the reduction in supply of drugs. From a social perspective, solutions are usually discussed in terms of prevention, early intervention and treatment.Prevention is better than cure. This adage holds good in fighting drug abuse too. Public education campaigns and stricter laws regarding purchase and use of legal substances are measures that have been adopted by states in the USA. Many States have created coalitions of community and business leaders to address the problem of substance abuse. These groups run community-based programs that provide mentoring, tutoring, alternative activities, and life skills development for youth in drug-impacted neighborhoods.

What are some ways the problem could be solved, eliminated or courtailed?

Today many parents are concerned about alcohol and illegal drug use and they need help to deal with this frightening threat to their children's health and well-being.Schools and community groups can help parents on drug and alcohol abuse. Schools have a vital role in the development and delivery of drug education to young people. It is important for schools to recognize the value of engaging in discussions with young people, parents, professionals and members of the community about drug education and prevention programs. Its important to note that schools alone cannot solve the drug problem. Parents have a vital part in drug education. It must begin at home long before the classroom and school.
    Parents can:
  • Have strong, loving relationships with their children.
  • Be available for their kids when needed.
  • Talk and listen to their kids.
  • Praise their kids.
  • Teach standards of right and wrong.
  • Set and enforce rules for behavior.
  • Provide knowledge about the risks of using drugs. Show the facts about drugs and drug abuse.
  • Be a good model
  • Be clear. Tell what the rules are.
  • Explain the reasons of your rules.
  • Tell what behavior is expected.
  • Explain the consequences of breaking the rules, such as what the punishment is going to be.
  • Tell your kids no drug use applies at all time and everywhere, either they are at home or in a friends home.
  • If the rule is broken react calmly instead of yelling or threatening him/her harshly.
  • Be firm and expect the child to obey your punishment.
Young people stressed that if you have a problem, then drugs and/or alcohol are not going to make it better. What is more, substances will create other problems and make your life worse. People described how their problems were still there, waiting for them when they were no longer high or intoxicated. The best thing to do is to talk to someone you trust and to get help. Your family doctor, a youth worker, or a teacher are all good places to start.

Social Problem

The first cause is simple curiosity. Many teens have heard about drugs, and they are curious to experience them for themselves. They have heard that drugs can be fun, or make     a person feel and act different. Maybe they have seen their friends or family members behave differently while on drugs, and they want to see how it really feels. We see drugs on TV and movies every day. Many young people encounter them at school, at home or in their neighborhood. It is not unusual to be curious about something you see and hear about so often, so many people first try drugs because they are curious about them.
Another reason young people take drugs is to escape their reality. Maybe their home life is not very happy. Maybe they have a boring job, are not doing well in school, or are just not happy with their life for whatever reason. For many people, drugs are a way to escape that unhappy reality. They can feel a little braver, stronger, a little smarter, more beautiful or more important. Of course this doesn’t last long, but that doesn’t matter. For the brief time that the drugs are taking affect, the user can forget about the problems, responsibilities and limitations of everyday life and escape to a fantasy world. It is no secret that drugs change the way you feel; this is why they are so attractive to young people despite their dangers.
Young people also take drugs to feel cool and impress their friends. If your friends all smoke marijuana, you will probably be expected to smoke it, too. If they snort cocaine, they will offer it to you. They may tell you that you are scared or acting like a baby if you don’t want to try it. This push to do what your friends are doing is called peer pressure, and it has a very strong effect on young people who don’t want to appear uncool to their friends. Some kids will do whatever their friends do, just to fit in and follow the crowd. They don’t want to be the only one not doing something, even if it is something dangerous, like taking drugs. Unfortunately, many young people become involved in drugs before they are fully aware of the health risks and the power of addiction. They need to understand the ways young people first become involved with drugs so they can beware of them. Many curious teens have died the first time they tried certain drugs, like ecstasy. Others have found their temporary escape became a permanent addiction. Was it worth it?
